The Thompsons Kitchen evolved from our love of people, food, and meaningful experiences. We embrace southern hospitality, regional cuisine, and global influences. Our dining experience merges the familiar and unfamiliar, the personal and professional–all set within a casual bistro atmosphere.
We have found community in Fairview, and we're committed to supporting and serving this area by providing jobs, operating with integrity, giving back to charities, partnering with other small businesses that share our values, and sustainably sourcing local ingredients.
This is a place of connection. We know that not every meal creates lasting memories, but here at Thompsons Kitchen it's our goal to provide our guests and ourselves with a dining experience that makes those moments happen more often.

Chef Rodney Thompson & Gemma Thompson
Founders of The Thompsons Kitchen
Chef Rodney Thompson graduated from the New England Culinary Institute in 2000 and began his culinary career working in professional kitchens across Florida, Oregon, California, and New York. Each stop along the way helped him refine his technique and deepen his culinary perspective before ultimately settling in Tennessee, where he continued his craft in Nashville’s fine dining scene.
In 2010, fueled by his love of food and genuine connection with people, Rodney launched Two Thompsons Catering with his family and introduced a food truck. Over the years, his passion and dedication have earned him the opportunity to cater for award-winning films, Grammy-winning musicians, top executive producers, and a range of unforgettable events.
As the business grew, Rodney and his wife, Gemma, expanded their vision and rebranded as The Thompsons Kitchen—a name that reflects their shared commitment to elevated catering, unique culinary experiences, and their growing family of Thompsons.


Gemma brings more than 20 years of experience in hospitality and event management. She’s the calm, guiding presence behind every client experience, ensuring that every detail is seamless and every event feels personal.
In 2021, they took a bold next step and opened a bustling gastropub restaurant, bringing their signature hospitality, creativity, and warmth into a vibrant, permanent space. This move allowed them to grow a team that shares their values and further connect with their community.
Though Rodney and Gemma grew up on opposite sides of the world, their shared love of great food and genuine service brought them together. They met in a cozy French bistro in Nashville—and the rest is history.
Now, as they raise the next generation of Thompsons, their mission remains the same: to turn every meal into an experience, and every guest into family.

AS A COMPANY, WE STRIVE TO DO THE BEST NOT ONLY FOR OUR CURRENT CLIENTS BUT ALSO FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
At our events, we use non-disposable and compostable products whenever possible. We also encourage our clients to opt for local or organic products. In our everyday operations, we have simple strategies such as recycling, using eco-friendly cleaning products, and composting to help us reduce our waste and impact.
We are committed to actively reducing our carbon footprint; we are always looking for new and positive ways to help and give back to the environment. At The Thompsons Kitchen, we believe that by consistently making better choices, implementing sustainable practices, supporting local businesses and global efforts, we are creating a better company and better experiences.
